Mr. Jostes founded Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT) in 2004 and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer.  Over the past decade, he has dramatically improved the landscape of environmental remediation, redevelopment and corporate sustainability throughout North America by successfully assuming and remediating close to $2 billion in environmental liabilities. His innovative approaches have been the catalyst for the infusion of billions of dollars from new vertical development in once blighted communities.  Additionally, Mr. Jostes holds an influential position as a brownfield thought leader and advocate for sustainable development, in this role he serves as an advisor to the EPA-led Superfund Taskforce, a board member for the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Advisory Board (EMAB), a featured speaker at the past 5 National Brownfield Conferences and many other industry events, an honorary instructor on brownfield development at Rutgers University, and a regular contributor to Bloomberg Environment.

Mr. Robinson has over 30-years of experience managing environmentally contaminated properties throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. Robinson’s current position as President of ELT includes the management of over 150 properties under various stages of closure or post-closure care.  Mr. Robinson also leads the ELT team of underwriters and risk management specialists involved with the structuring of environmental liability transfers.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Robinson has been involved with the transfer of over a billion dollars of environmental liabilities, has secured over $100,000,000 in public funds used to offset environmental liabilities, and has been involved with the transfer of thousands of sites.

Mr. Fonke has over 30-years of experience in real estate portfolio management including lease negotiations, valuation analysis, brokerage, property management, and investment property sales. Mr. Fonke is a licensed real estate broker and CCIM, and has negotiated over $300 million of leases and sales transactions over his career. Before joining ELT, Mr. Fonke worked for several companies in various roles including the former Trammel Crow Company, SuperValu and GE Capital.  His current position as Executive Vice President of Asset Management at ELT includes the management and marketing of over 150 commercial properties under various stages of environmental remediation throughout the United States and Canada.

As Executive Vice President of New Business Development for Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT), Mr. Hinds is responsible for locating, negotiating and closing new opportunities.  Mr. Hinds is also responsible for developing relationships with firms that work in the liability transfer and real estate development arenas. Prior to joining ELT in 2004, Mr. Hinds was Director of Sales for Commercial Development Company Inc. where he utilized his 10+ year background in commercial and industrial real estate brokerage to locate and evaluate property acquisitions for the organization.

Senior Vice President, New Business Development

 

As Senior VP of New Business Development for Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT), Mr. Smith is responsible for initially locating, negotiating and finalizing the environmental liability transference of corporate legacy liability.  With 30 years of industrial safety, real estate and financial securities experience, he works closely with consultants, environmental attorneys, private equity firms during M&As, corporate spinoffs, and bankruptcies. Mr. Smith joined ELT’s affiliate Commercial Development Company Inc. (CDC) in 1991 as Vice President of Acquisitions and transitioned to ELT in 2009.

Steve Collins
Executive Vice President

 

Mr. Collins is Executive Vice President for Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc.  In this position, he is responsible for locating new opportunities for ELT.  Mr. Collins has received multiple real estate designations including CCIM and SIOR, and has acquired over 70 Brownfield sites throughout North America.  He has been influential in redevelopment of these sites, including negotiating  state and local incentives.  The value of the sites will exceed $250 million after cleanup activates have been completed. With 30+ years of experience in local government, economic development, and real estate, Mr. Collins has the knowledge and experience to evaluate and develop Brownfield sites so they benefit not only ELT but the Seller and local community.

Adam Kovacs
Executive Vice President

Mr. Kovacs carries responsibilities across both ELT and EnviroAnalyitics Group (EAG) businesses. His main focus is to grow visibility and uncover opportunities throughout the Petroleum, Chemical, Utility, and Manufacturing Industries. Adam attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, where he earned his degree in Environmental Science and Engineering.  He also holds a MBA from DeSales University. After working in the Remediation Group of a Fortune 500 Pipeline and Terminal company for several years, he transitioned into the Engineering and Consulting industry, where he held Business Development and Project Management responsibilities throughout the country (US).  Adam has the ability, knowledge, and authority to negotiate, and close on both EAG and ELT opportunities for our clients.

Christopher Rausch
Legal Counsel

 

Over the past twenty six (26) years, Mr. Rausch led transactional counsel in the development, acquisition, disposition, construction, financing, and lease of Nineteen Million (19,000,000) square feet of commercial real estate, representing Five Thousand (5,000) acres, valued in excess of Three Hundred Million Dollars ($300,000,000.00).  Chris has closed commercial real estate and business acquisition & disposition transactions in Twenty-Four (24) states, including but not limited to, California and New York.

 

Chris has demonstrated expertise in structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of complex agreements, including corporate and ownership documents, asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, build-to-suit with NNN lease contracts, environmental indemnity agreements, agreements for the assumption of environmental liabilities and indemnification of seller, construction contracts, easement agreements, condominium agreements, improved property leases (office, retail, industrial, seniors), ground leases, joint venture and partnership agreements, private placement memorandums, real estate financing (equity, commercial lender acquisition debt, commercial lender development debt, commercial lender construction debt, acquisition conduit [special purpose entity – bankruptcy remote] debt, replacement or permanent conduit [special purpose entity – bankruptcy remote] debt), and loan workout & forbearance agreements.

 

In January of 1993, Chris graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law, attending Law School at night while working full time during the day in leasing, brokerage, and development of commercial real estate.
